Project Trinity

Since I'm still in the middle of trying to complete the second half of my "30 Questions" entry, I wanted to take the time to recognize an ambitious project going on over at Colorado's official forum.

Project Trinity is an idea conceived by ingenious_21 intented to somehow help Colorado earn its 3rd Stanley Cup in 2009.

What is Project Trinity?

Project Trinity exits to achieve three objectives -

Unite the Avs Nation
Better support our boys in burgundy
Bring home the Stanley Cup

How does the Project work?

By being a presence in the community (volunteerism, advocacy, charitable giving . . . )

By showing our support of the team (training camp, booster activities, away game watch parties . . . )

By being a presence online (facebook, myspace, online forums, blogs . . . )

By showing up to games (cheering, waving signs, wearing team colors, chanting, throwing things on the ice . . . )

By uniting fans and creating friendships (tailgating, watch parties, car pooling . . .)

Living in Pennsylvania, there isn't much I can do for the cause. Besides getting to my two or three Avalanche games a year, all I can do is watch on Center Ice and try to root for this team - even when Andrew Raycroft is in goal.

But for all you diehards in Colorado, I encourage you to see what all of this "Project Trinity" business is about.

Remember, the last time Colorado had any kind of uniting cause, it was Mission 16W.

We all know how that turned out. - Best Sports Blogs, Sports Blogger Rankings
