Saw it on NHL Network. No link.
Think that management would have waived TJ Hensick AND Tom Preissing last season? Not a chance. Benching players and sending players down who aren't performing? What a concept!
It's safe to say that I was less than impressed with Preissing's little playing with the Avs. He's a guy we could have let the Kings keep.
In other news, Kyle Cumiskey has been placed on IR.
So we put one defenseman on IR, and waive another? Adam Foote is also out.
Quick math =
Avs roster page has Brian Fahey on it. Apparently, the Avs took him in the 4th round of the 2000 entry draft. Since then, he has yet to play an NHL game, and his stats have regressed each of the last three seasons while with the Chicago Wolves and Hartford Wolfpack of the AHL.
What about Ruslan Salei? Man has gone invisible.
Avs play the Wild tonight in Colorado at 9 PM ET.
The Avs would be in first place right now if they could just play a decent 3rd period 50% of the time. I KNEW the Avs were going to lose when they went into the 3rd tied last night. They just seem incapable of matching the other team's intensity level. The team that wants it most usually wins and the Avs definitely didn't want it more than the Wild did.
Time to take back 1st place tonight.
